Changtan Fishing Village and Wanghaixiang Fishing Harbor area had hundreds of fishing boats in the prosperous period in the past, and its had the most red carp in all of Taiwan. Teacher Lin used to work in the fishing industry when she was young. She sold her own catch in Kanzaiding, while her husband pursued fishing as a profession in Changtan Fishing Village. As their careers stabilized, Teacher Lin began actively engaging in community development efforts in Changtan Fishing Village, helping to promote the culture of the fishing village and helping the local elderly with meal delivery services. When Mr. Lin had a sudden stroke, Teacher Lin created "Yuniang Chuanqing" to support the family.

White hairtail is used during its peak production season from June to October, while dolphin fish red carp, or mullet may be used in winter.
