Everyone is born as a "baby beast," using their instincts to explore the world of books.
In 2021, Chen Li-yi, the founder of City Heart Co., Ltd., established the "Baby Beast Books" in Keelung with the aim of providing book lovers a space filled with the aroma of books. The goal was to create an unbiased learning environment at the Baby Beast Books. The selection of books primarily focused on equality issues, nature and animals, history and culture, and self-exploration, with the hope of turning exploration and appreciation of everyday things into readers' habits. To engage the readers, the Baby Beast Books planned a series of special events for the upcoming year, named "Baby Beast Lectures." These events include themed book exhibitions, lectures, reading tours, and handicraft workshops, all carefully planned and announced in advance.

Lectures
The Baby Beast Books organizes lectures where authors introduce new books and share concepts directly with the audience, fostering genuine interactions and feedback. The aim is to create an interactive atmosphere like a large-scale book club, facilitating meaningful exchanges between readers and writers.
Parenting and Handicraft Lectures
Additionally, they host Parent-Child Lectures, encouraging discussions on growth challenges and offering valuable solutions. Workshops led by art studios let participants create personalized gifts inspired by Keelung's cultural elements and their own interests and observations.
Walk-in tour
They also conduct walking tours, embracing the idea that "traveling a thousand miles is better than reading a thousand books." Led by experts, these tours take readers beyond books to experience nature, understand flora and fauna, and explore the urban landscape, making walking tours a form of reading too.
