Established in 1932, and successfully running for over 90 years in Keelung, the business is now in its fourth generation under the leadership of Mr. Lai Wei Ru. Starting as a small bowl and dish store, it transformed into a grocery store. In the age of modern e-commerce and online shopping, business declined. However, the boss decided to transform it into a specialty "North-South goods" grocery store, selling dry goods, beans, grains, canned goods, soy sauce, and delicacies like caviar. Every item that requires attention to quality is carefully handled by the boss. When customers visit, the boss doesn't forget to interact with them, offering advice on handling and storing food. Assuming the responsibility of carrying the family business and receiving feedback from customers is the boss's greatest motivation in this profession.

In traditional grocery stores, selling dry goods and beans was a fundamental practice. Although such stores are rare nowadays, Smooth Store prepares a variety of beans for customers daily, including red beans, green beans, soybeans, peanuts, black beans, and yellow beans, in various quantities.
